In a move that at this point surprised noone, the executives at Fox have finally confirmed Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler will be the new judges on the upcoming season of American Idol.
J-Lo has appeared on the show in the past as a guest mentor to the contestants. She’s thrilled to be joining as a judge, stating, “I’m so excited. I’m looking for the next Michael Jackson.”

It was officially announced yesterday that Ellen Degeneres will not continue as an American Idol judge for next season. Her official statement, “A couple of months ago, I let Fox and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me.”
In an anonymous statement from a source that is familiar with network negotiations, it is rumored that Jennifer Lopez came close to singing the deal to take Ellen’s spot as a judge for the new season. Fox Network and Lopez’s representatives have not responded to the allegations.

Apparently Jennifer Lopez has a huge following in the Mediterranean region - enough to wreak havoc on the island of Cyprus.
It’s been reported that Lopez has recently canceled a show that was scheduled to take place at a luxury hotel in the northern, Turkish half of the divided island. Greek Cypriots rejoiced at the decision to call off the controversial show, while Turkish Cypriots bemoaned the move. They are crying foul, accusing the Greek Cypriot campaign of trying to keep them isolated.
The island was divided into a Greek speaking south and a Turkish speaking north when Turkey invaded following a coup by supporters of a union with Greece. How crazy is it that J Lo has gotten in the middle of a feud that started in 1974?!
Apologies to the Mediterranean Hatfields and McCoys - J Lo has no plans to reschedule.

Jennifer Lopez has been reportedly working on a her new album, “Love.” The release has been pushed back several times with no official date announced. Currently it is rumored to debut sometime this summer.
The continual setback seems to be the result of Lopez’s parting ways with Sony Music Entertainment and Epic Records. Jennifer has completed her contractual obligations and thought it best to leave on good terms. It has been confirmed that she is now signed with Def Jam Recordings and the album is a work in progress.
The title track of the new record has been released. The accompanying video is streaming on her official website. Let this be hope that we will get to experience “Love” before 2010 comes to a close!

Jennifer Lopez is scheduled to release her seventh studio album “Love?” in April 2010. It was originally scheduled for release on Jan. 25, 2010.
Her laest album is said to feature Danja, Jim Jonsin, Darkchild, Chris n Teeb and The Neptunes.
So far only the lead single, “Louboutins,” is out. It debuted on the radio on Nov. 23, 2009.
